Dr Laura Rival

Dr. Laura Rival is a professor of anthropology and development in the Department of International Development and the School of Anthropology and Ethnography of Museums (SAME) at the University of Oxford. Since 2001 he has taught and developed research in the areas of anthropology of nature, society and development. Since 2010, he has investigated several “carbon capture projects” to empirically examine how the concept of “ecosystem services” has been used in practice to guide decisions on the allocation of natural resources.
